The St Ninian’s St Vincent de Paul Society has been in existence for more than fifty years. Our activities include corporal acts of mercy (supplying food and financial aid to the poor and disadvantaged) in our local community, funding similar groups within and outwith the Parish, Visiting sick Parishioners (at home and in hospital/residences/hospice) and looking after their general welfare. St Ninian’s SVP also supply funding for a twinned Parish SVP council in India. We have occasional use of holiday camp facilities for disadvantaged families, provided by the SVP Edinburgh group Council. We have also provided funds for sick Parishioners pilgrimage to Lourdes and an annual party/dinner for elderly Parishioners.
