St Ninian’s Primary School

The pupils, staff and families of St Ninian’s RC Primary School have developed a very strong relationship with the Parish of St Ninian’s over many years. The pupils of our school have the opportunity to attend Mass in St Ninian’s throughout the school year for holy days of obligation, class Masses, school celebration Masses as well as attending both services of the word (led by parishioners) and Masses during Lent and Advent. These occasions are integral to the faith development and journey of all of our pupils.

The parishioners are always very welcoming and supportive of the young people and they too, through becoming prayer partners to pupils preparing for the sacraments, have also developed good, strong relationships with our pupils. As a parish we celebrate the Rites of Christian Initiation for Children as part of Sunday Masses so that the whole faith community is involved. It is a great comfort to the pupils, their parents and the school staff to know that they have the support of the whole parish and that there are good people who will help them and the children on their faith journey. The prospect of these no longer being a possibility for us is unthinkable.
