Open Door

The Open Door started in April 2016 as the then Parish Pastoral Council recognised that as a church we needed to be more involved within the local community.
The idea was to open our doors on a Friday and see who would come along to enjoy the company of others.
Free refreshments of soup, filled rolls, and cake along with tea and coffee are available.
The Open Door is on between 12.30pm and 2.00pm on a Friday.
Regularly 30-40 people are welcomed.
Local people including – residents and care assistants from our local L’Arche community, parishioners and people of different faiths and no faith come along.
People are welcome to bring their children with them and we would love more young families to visit.
Donations received have gone towards the general upkeep of the church as well as:
  • Mary’s Meals
  • our local Foodbank.
The Open Door would not be possible if it wasn’t for the hard work of the volunteers and the donations received from those who attend.
Thank you to everyone involved.
