Annual Parish Pilgrimage 8 – 10th September 2017
Our annual parish pilgrimage this year took 30 people to Whithorn to celebrate the 111th founding of the parish of St Ninian’s in 1906. Adding an interfaith element, the group also visited the Buddhist Temple of Samye Ling at Eskdalemuir and was given a guided tour of the Temple followed by a short period of meditation led by a monk.
The highlight of the weekend was a Mass celebrated by Fr Syriac at the mouth of St Ninian’s cave. It was a beautiful day, as we remembered our past parishioners and thanked God for the many blessings we continue to receive in St Ninian’s.
