The Cry of the Earth / The Cry of the Poor
Conversations took place: Tuesday 19th (2.00 -3 :00pm and 7.00 – 8.00pm) and Wednesday 20th September (10.30 – 11.30am)
We began by reflecting on some quotes from Laudato Si’ which focussed on the theme of ‘connectedness‘ and a recognition of the need to value and respect indigenous communities.
Recognising the need to listen to indigenous peoples we watched The Testimony of Chief Seattle.
After a brief sharing we moved on to the interrelated themes of The Cry of the Earth and The Cry of the Poor and again reflected on a few quotes from Laudato Si’.
We then watched the powerful Stations of the Forests.
After a sharing our thoughts and feelings we concluded by saying together A Christian Prayer in Union With Creation.
